Prof. Dr. Ralf Klischewski

Ralf Klischewski graduated at Hamburg University in informatics and political science and holds a Doctoral degree in informatics. In 1991 he joined the Informatics Department of the University of Hamburg as a research assistant, since 1997 as assistant professor. For the spring semester of 2003 he has been Visiting Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School. Since September 2004 he is professor for Information Systems at the newly founded German University in Cairo.

 

From 1996 to 1999 Ralf Klischewski served as CEO of a small company producing software for environmental management. Since 1997 he has been advising several projects on the development and deployment of information systems for public administration.

Research Interests  

At present, Ralf Klischewski has research interests in systems development methods, service flow management, semantic web, and e-government.

 

Based on his dissertation "Anarchy - a guidance for computer science" he frequently addresses fundamental questions of the social aspects of computing such as modeling or the role of social actors in software development.

Eng. Riem M. Hamdi

Riem has been graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Cairo University and obtained a "Bachelor of Science" degree in 1996 with major in “Management Information Systems for PLC applications in industry”.

In 1997 Riem has joined the Information Technology Institute (ITI), Information Decision and Support Center (IDSC) –The Cabinet. She was granted an IT Diploma - “Multimedia Specialist”. In 2000 she has been certified from Microsoft as a premium Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

Riem has been appointed as a “Teaching Assistant” in the Information Systems Department at Faculty of Management Technology, German University in Cairo (GUC) since September 2004.

Later in 2007 she obtained her "Masters of Science in Information Technology" degree from School of Computer Science, The University of Nottingham, UK.
Accordingly, she has been promoted as "Lecturer Assistant" for Information Systems in the GUC.

Research Projects

The research interests include e-Government usability and evaluation, web site usability, Human-Computer Interaction, the Digital Divide in Egypt, e-Business, and internet-based distance learning.

* Measuring the impact of cultural based e-Government websites on their usabilities.
* Computer applications in industry using PLC (Programmable Logical Controllers)
* Multimedia application for oriental hand-crafted work (Project Islamyat based on Author ware).

Mr. Moutaz Haddara

 

Moutaz Haddara graduated at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST) in Business Administration and holds a Master degree in information Systems, he is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet (MCSE+I) since 2000.

 

In 1999 he joined the Office Information Center at the AAST as a network administrator and Internet support specialist. In September 2000 he joined the Management Information Systems department at AAST as a teaching assistant and a web developer. Currently he is an assistant lecturer at the German University in Cairo.

 

Since 2000 Moutaz worked as a part time lecturer, Microsoft and IT trainer in many institutes and centers some of them include: Computer Services Center AAST, Advanced Management Institute, Institute of International Maritime Transport & Logistics, and Graduate School of Business.

At present, Moutaz has research interests in semantic web, e-government, interoperability in eGovernment, e-commerce, and query optimization.
